Stan Mengel is an economist specializing in economic
education, preparing teachers from kindergarten through high school to teach
economics and personal finance.
Stan received his graduate education in economics at Stanford University
after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Mengel taught at several universities including the University of Santa
Clara, Ohio University, Akron University, and Lesley University in
Cambridge, Massachusetts. He held the Firestone Chair at Akron University
and was Pietz Professor of Economic Education at Lesley University. Stan
retired from the Economics Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas
City in 2008. |
